巴基斯坦伊斯兰共和国位于南亚次大陆西北部，东接印度，东北部与中国新疆维吾尔自治区塔什库尔干塔吉克自治县相接，西北部与阿富汗交界，西邻伊朗，南濒阿拉伯海。国土面积为79.6095万平方公里。巴基斯坦海岸线长980公里，全境3/5为山区和丘陵地，地形呈西北部高、东南部低。境内最高峰为蒂里奇米尔峰，高7690米；最大河流---印度河纵贯全境，长约2300公里。
