新疆十一届人大代表呼吁：打造喀什在中亚南亚经济圈中心地位

　　喀什地处祖国西部边陲，是古丝绸之路的商埠重镇，周边与印度、巴基斯坦、阿富汗、塔吉克斯坦、吉尔吉斯斯坦等5国接壤。但是地处偏远，交通闭塞，严重制约了喀什地区的经济发展。喀什的产品运至北疆或内地市场距离均超过1000公里，而运至周边国家市场，距离则均在1000公里以内或左右。

　　喀什代表团代表认为，中吉乌铁路国内段和中巴铁路的建设，对促进第二座亚欧大陆桥沿线国家和地区经济发展具有重要意义，从改善周边国际环境方面讲，对促进中国同周边各国的经济全面发展，增进各国人民之间的传统友谊、重新构筑中吉乌铁路网、中巴铁路网等方面具有非常重要的意义。

　　喀什代表团建议，为提升喀什及相邻地州整体竞争力，为打造喀什在中亚南亚经济圈中心地位奠定坚实的基础，促进喀什社会稳定和经济发展，改善人民生活水平，建议新疆报请国家有关部门加大中吉乌铁路项目建设力度，力争该项目能尽快开工建设。(完)
